Amy Schoening, PA-C

Amy Schoening PA-C, MPAS is a certified Physician Assistant practicing in dermatology for the last 16 years.  She is board certified by the NCCPA since 2002, previously working in primary care.

She graduated from the  University of Nevada, Reno with a Bachelor’s degree in Pre-Med. While attending UNR, Amy was a member of the United States Army Reserve.  She was activated for Desert Storm and served in Colorado as a pharmacy technician.  After graduating from UNR , she continued her education and received her nursing degree from Truckee Meadows Community College.  As a Registered Nurse, she worked at Washoe Medical Center on the neurology unit and the main operating room.  Amy received her Master’s degree from Finch University of Health Science/Chicago Medical School and then moved back to Reno, where she has enjoyed living.

 

She has worked in medical dermatology since 2005 and is a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.   She values having long term patient relationships and treating a variety of skin conditions.   Amy's interests include spending time with her family, hiking, skiing and traveling.
